We are proud to announce our continued sponsorship of this year’s Stourbridge Military Vehicle Parade alongside Pegasus Grab Hire, supporting the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.

In the build-up to this year’s parade, Pre Metro is once again inviting local businesses to participate in the annual shop front decoration contest, with cash prizes awarded to the most original and heartfelt tributes to our veterans.

Following the creativity showcased last year, businesses across Stourbridge will again have the opportunity to showcase their support for our military community by decorating their shop windows in a theme of remembrance. Each business is encouraged to create a display honouring military heritage and community spirit while raising awareness for the Poppy Appeal.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three winners, with all winnings donated to the charity of the business’s choice.

The charity prize fees awarded to the ‘best dressed’:

• First Place: £150
• Second Place: £100
• Third Place: £50 

In addition, we will be awarding Highly Commended titles for any outstanding designs and contributions.

If participating, displays should be completed and ready for Friday, 1st November.

Judging will take place on the morning of Tuesday 5th November and the winners announced the same day.

The Military Vehicle Parade, led by the Shirley Pipe Band, will take place at 11 am on Saturday, 9^th November, with the procession travelling from the top of the High Street Inn through Stourbridge town centre, moving along Market Street and Foster Street. The vehicles will park up at the Bonded Warehouse on Canal Street, where they will be displayed for the public to view after the parade.
