Shuttle Supports Fifth Stourbridge Military Vehicle Parade
The Stourbridge Shuttle is once again proud to sponsor the fifth Stourbridge Military Vehicle Parade, returning to the town centre tomorrow, Saturday 7 November, in support of the Stourbridge Poppy Appeal.
Organised by our very own Shuttle driver Dave Spruce, this year’s free event will feature more than 50 military vehicles, including three tanks, alongside live 1940s entertainment.
The parade begins at 11 am outside The Chequers at the top of High Street, led by the Shirley Pipe Band. Afterwards, the vehicles will be displayed along Lower High Street until around 4 pm, allowing visitors to meet their owners and explore the collection.
New for this year, a Black Country Radio stage will host entertainment between noon and 3.30 pm, including Vera Lynn and George Formby tribute acts.
Dave’s dedication has helped the parade grow into a popular community occasion. Last year’s event raised more than £4,600 for the Poppy Appeal, and collection boxes will once again be available throughout the town.
We’re delighted to support Dave and everyone involved in bringing the event together, helping raise funds for an important cause.
Visitors arriving by car can use the free parking at Stourbridge Junction railway station and take the Stourbridge Shuttle to Stourbridge Town, just a short walk from the celebrations.
Join us in supporting the parade, and please give generously to the Poppy Appeal.
