A local community tennis club has been reaping the benefits of sponsorship by Stourbridge Shuttle operator Pre Metro Operations Ltd.
Quarry Bank Tennis Club and PMOL arranged a 4-year sponsorship deal in Autumn 2017, and in the first year several improvements to club facilities have been implemented. A ramped access to court level has been constructed making it far easier for parents with pushchairs, elderly members and guests and mobility impaired persons to make their way from the car park to the courts and the clubhouse.
Paul Julian, the club’s Treasurer said;
“we remain extremely grateful for the sponsorship from PMOL. Not only has it enabled us to undertake a major project to improve accessibility, but it also underpins the financial stability of the club into the future. The club is a small, family oriented club with close links with the local community. We are proud to be associated with PMOL, another community focussed organisation”
Phil Evans, Pre Metro Operations Chief Executive said;
“Our involvement with Quarry Bank Tennis Club is very important to us as part of our community involvement. PMOL is a local company, with local people, and we’re very pleased to be working with Quarry Bank Tennis Club to help nurture local sporting talent”.
Quarry Bank Tennis Club has enjoyed a successful summer season. The Men’s A team and the Ladies team have both won promotion from their respective divisions. The Men’s B team have remained at the same level and the C team can gain promotion if they win their last match.
